Vst Plugins Too Small On 4k
I'm working with Studio One under Win10 with a 4k monitor. I've tried to use BFD3 as a drum plugin, but I can't use it in S1 because the screen size of the plugin is too small. There is no option to zoom the plugin. These issues normally don't exists with VST3 plugins: they are often resizeable. There two tipping points. One is when the music gets thinner and smaller that's usually the limit. The other is the buildup of the same plug-ins resonances/tendencies. With digital plug-ins your working with binary exact duplication's. /vst-plugin-8-bit-shaper.html. So any buildup occurs at the same spot over and over. I call this exhausting the plug-ins sound.
For those who use 4k monitors - my question is how you manage your mouse on the screen ?Free programs to use vst. Nov 23, 2015 If this scaled image is still too small, we can raise the Windows 10 display scaling percentage even higher. For example, a display scaling value of 200 percent would produce an image that is proportionate to 1080p resolution, or 1920×1080 (again, just check the math to see that 1920.2 = 3840 and 1080.2 = 2160).
- I wanted to add that the resizable GUI is a life saver on high DPI screens (when system-level scaling doesn't cut it). All of the hard work is so super appreciated, and putting in the development hours for these types of features are exactly what gain and keep devout fans.
- Oct 21, 2017 Completed 4.1: Why VST Windows not matching the scale of Studio One GUI as in other DAW's (using 4K monitor) 3rd party plugins are too small in laptop screen. CS18AI Controling plugins (native and 3rd party vsts).
- Any company that releases a new plugin in 2020 and the GUI is tiny is completely out of touch with reality and I won't even consider buying their plug ins. And companies should definitely prioritize updating any of their older plugins to make them 4k compatible if they wish for the plugins to still remain relevant in this day and age.
- This was the only quick fix I could find, hope it helps. If anyone has a better means of fixing this issue please let me know!
Since I upgraded to Live9 I'm suffering from Live not being able to manage mouse on the screen. It is probably Windows10 issue but still ABLETON needs to resolve this somehow. For my it is terribly agrevating when I try to move the slider or the knob and it just spins in place or makes completely unpredictable movements. Initially I was not able to use LIVE9 at all. After changing the ZOOM it helped a bit but still have issues. It is terribly irritating. I use Win10/64 and 2x4k monitors + 1xHD monitor all on a single 4 ports video card.
I know for some programs one can set the option to disable resizing (in Win10) but not sure how to apply this to plugins because they are not called directly from OS but through Live calls so it is completely different way the DLL plugin is initiated. Some of the plugins are impossible to use simply because the fonts are so fckn small I cannot read anything.
