Phase Correlation Meter Vst Free
The correlation meter indicates the degree of similarity (or correlation) between the left and right channels.

PHA-979 is a professional audio AAX, AudioUnit and VST plugin which allows you to apply an arbitrary phase shift to sound material. What is meant by the phase shift here is simultaneous shifting of all frequencies across the active frequency range of the signal by the given value in degrees. This is achieved by linear-phase design. As the correlation meter updates, it 'paints' a history to show the correlation of the left and right channels over time. Brighter regions indicate that the correlation meter has spent more time in that area. This provides you with a quick way to visualize the extremes of the phase correlation as well as the most common regions. Bxmeter does not automatically make your mixes sound better, it simply lets you look at how you are mixing or mastering with unprecedented precision. This visual information about your mix allows you to better understand the correlation of dynamics, M/S, phase and levels of what you are hearing. Size 0.64 MB / 0.68 MB StereoChannel is a stereo tool and VU meter with basic console channel controls. Insert StereoChannel on your stereo tracks to monitor the left, right, middle and side levels as well as phase correlation.
When the audio in the left and right channels is similar, the meter draws towards the top. The extreme case is when the left and right channels are exactly the same, in which case the correlation is +1 and the meter would be positioned all the way to the top.
When the left and right channels are different, the meter draws towards the bottom. The extreme case here would be for the left and right to be exactly out of phase, in which case the correlation is -1 and the meter would be positioned all the way to the bottom.

In general, most recordings have phase correlations in the 0 to +1 region. A brief readout towards the bottom half of the meter is not necessarily a problem but could represent a possible mono compatibility issue.
Note: As you apply greater multiband stereo widening or reverb width to your audio, the phase correlation will tend to draw more towards the bottom half of the meter, as the left and right channels will become 'wider' or less similar.
Channel Operations
You can perform a quick check of mono and phase compatibility by clicking on the Channel button below the Vectorscope. This provides a menu that allows you to sum the output of Ozone to mono, invert the polarity of left or right channels, and swap left and right channels.
An additional meter for analyzing stereo spread is the Vectorscope.
Applications
- Multi-band correlation metering
- Phase issues detector
- Cross-track phase coherency estimation
- Mono-compatibility checker
Correlometer is a free analog-style stereo multi-band correlation meter AudioUnit, AAX and VST plugin for professional sound and music production applications. It is based on correlation meter found in PHA-979 phase-alignment plugin.
Audio Phase Correlation Meter
Multi-band correlation meter is an advanced way to check for presence of out-of-phase elements in the mix. Broadband correlation metering reports overall phase issues and may misrepresent problems present in select spectral bands, while multi-band correlation meter easily highlights problems present in mid to high frequencies that are not easily heard by ear, but may still reduce clarity of the mix. Another application of multi-band correlation metering is phase- and time-aligning of channels and tracks, especially bass and bass-drum pairs, guitar mic and D.I. source pairs, two-microphone stereo recordings, etc.

Correlometer can display 4 to 64 individual spectral bands, with adjustable band quality factor that controls the degree of band’s selectivity. Averaging time of correlation estimator can be adjusted. Correlometer supports side-chain inputs for easy correlation estimation between separate audio tracks.
