I've been looking for a VST that allows me to dive bomb my tracks, similar to the Digitech Whammy pedal, but for all instruments. Basically, a plugin that allows me to gradually change pitch up. The best solution is a Variax guitar. You really need a pickup per string to do this right, anything else will be a compromise. For gigging musicians that need a number of open turnings and some quick guitar changes, a Variax Standard or JVT is a pretty serviceable option. I wouldn't use one for my goto guitar, but for occasional use on a gig, its pretty functional. |
